About Jeff & Mary
Jeff was living and working as a system administrator for a hospital in the Rockwall area. One day, he decided to sign up for the dating website, eHarmony. I had signed up years earlier but had no luck and grew tired of the site. Though I kept my account, I did not look at it for about two years. Then one day in March 2016, bored and curious, I decided to look at my account to see all the compatibility matches that eHarmony chose for me over the months to present day. The site was offering free communication that weekend, and I noticed that Jeff was one of my matches but did not think anything of it. Then, I saw that Jeff had sent me a "smile" earlier that morning. Being apprehensive and hesitant, I returned the gesture. He then reached out to me and we began communicating for two months solely through lengthy email letters and later through texts before meeting in May 2016. Through that communication, we learned that both of us grew up in and attended small-town East Texas schools and that both of our fathers retired from the same Tyler, Texas "Goodyear Tires" factory plant (formerly known as Kelly Springfield). After Jeff decided to return to the Tyler area and buying a house, we began dating and have been inseparable ever since we met.
